** TIMBER INDUSTRY CRISIS ALERT **

Your Future
How do public perception of logging, state regulations, fuel adjustments and the importation of wood products affect your future? As an organization, the ACLT is concerned about the economic trends and public policies that affect your way of life.

Opportunities to protect and provide for your future are also available through group benefits such as 401K Retirement Plans and Insurance Programs.

A major concern of all loggers is the long term availability of timber. We are pro-actively addressing the issue of reaching the allowable sale quantities as recommended in the national forest plan.

Sustainable forest stewardship practices include a partnership among industry stakeholders. ACLT is committed to promoting collaboration among loggers, mills, and land owners, in order to ensure a healthy forest and stable economy.

Your Voice
Knowing that you are kept busy with running your own business, we are proud to have the opportunity to be your voice at public forums, LogSafe meetings, the legislature, mills and other timber industry organizations (i.e. MLEP, Minnesota Forest Resource Partnership).

The ACLT Update, our bi-monthly publication is sent to state representatives and government agencies as well as our supporting members. This allows the ACLT to inform policy makers about our concerns, in addition to showing a unity in the development of industry standards.

As an organization, we focus on issues that directly affect the forest-based economy. Our Executive Director and Board Members actively take part in meetings where industry stakeholder and regulators make decisions that affect your bottom line.

Monthly Board Meetings as well as the Annual Meeting provide a forum for members to share concerns and bring issues to the table for ACLT action. We encourage member participation.
